Beautiful in its simplicity

Tobi hat uns zu Weihnachten das Buch The Pig Scrolls von Paul Shipton geschenkt - seine Entdeckung des letzten Jahres.

Ich habe bisher nur einen kurzen Blick hinein geworfen, bin aber schon sehr angetan von dem, was ich bisher lesen konnte:

... The only other creature I spotted was a little fluffy-tailed squirrel, gripping an acorn in its tiny front paws. That squirrel had life sussed, I can tell you. There it was, managing just fine without a name or a job or an informed opinion on why the sun is driven around the earth. It had never fretted about money or time or new trends in rodent fashion. It never had to sort through the thoughts in its brain, all sqabbling to be the one to reach its mouth. Right now, I bet only one thought was rattling around its little squirrel skull:

'Nuts!'

Wie ungeschickt, daß ich bereits zwei angefangene Bücher auf meinem Nachtisch liegen habe.

Aber ein drittes....geht vielleicht doch noch!
